MYACTUATOR, as a sponsor, feels proud and honored to witness the brilliant achievement of MOUNTAINEER ROBOTICS TEAM from West Virginia University in the 2024 world's highest level college student Mars Rover Challenge. The RMD-X10-100 and RMD-X6 motors sponsored by MYACTUATOR provide strong power technical support for the Mars rover of the MOUNTAINEER ROBOTICS TEAM, helping the team to compete in the Mars Desert Research Station in Utah.
In 2024, in the world's highest level college student robot competition, among 102 teams from 15 countries entered the finals, and the West Virginia University Mountaineers won the second place with outstanding performance.
Following the victory in the 2023 URC competition, Team Mountaineers open-sourced their robot design to promote the participation of new teams around the world. This year, more than 70 students, under the guidance of Yu Gu, professor of mechanics, materials and aerospace, developed a brand-new rover design that embodies the spirit of innovation from the drive system to the scientific payload.
